This one's a little bit different from the other Birds-Eye posts, as it's focused on a character rather than a location. As an aside, drawing realistic or semi-realistic people is not my favorite thing to do. Practice makes perfect, though. Enjoy!
He doesn't let much bother him, least of all what everyone else is doing. The son of a war hero and inheritor of a stretch of land that's far more wilderness than civilization, the Duke leads a private life, wandering his own ways, fighting his own fights. His forefathers used to travel the plains and deserts and mountains of the Duchy of the Frontier, wresting them away from the savage creatures, claiming them in the name of Constonia. The Duke of the Frontier, 'The Warden of the Wild'; names that have since passed into distant memory along with the men who earned them.
This Duke has no interest in the legacy of those who came before. He traded sparkling, plated armor and sabers of the finest steel for a rifle, a revolver, and a hat. While other nobles lounge in their mansions and villas in the King's Valley, close to the capital city Sunderfeld, the Duke makes his home on horseback, and his locale is the same plains and deserts and mountains as his father, grandfather, and many beyond. And where those that came before sought glory, he merely wants the solace that only a dangerous realm can promise. Out on the endless sands and grasses of his Frontier, where lizards howl and towns burn to ash, the only thing left to bother him is himself.
